HISTORIC REGISTER 1920’s HOME
On the register of Historic Homes in Nashville, on a wide beloved tree-lined street, this home underwent an extensive renovation that included reorienting part of the upper floor landing, removal of several walls that divided small rooms and the addition of a large steel and glass window that opened the kitchen area to the garden beyond. The home was originally built as a duplex and had been converted to a single family home in the 1960’s and further remodeled in the 1980’s, yet the home lacked a desirable floor plan and needed to open itself up to more light and a simpler design. The space is creatively and elegantly furnished and highlights the owner’s extensive art collection and personal family mementos.
