CLASSIC FRENCH HOME

In this class French style home, the goal of updating the interior design was to provide a classic yet fresh and chic timeless interior in which to relax, entertain or simply spend time alone reading with a cup of coffee. The room is filled with beautiful morning light. The home was built with impeccable French details including mantle, moldings, and herringbone oak floors. All prior furnishings and wallpaper were removed or repurposed and walls were painted a light shade with a high gloss ceiling to enhance the movement of light in the room. Mid-century modern Danish pieces, modern Italian and English furnishings were carefully selected to create an interested yet serene atmosphere. An elegant casualness was balanced by an oak plinth coffee table, custom jute textured rug, and modern Italian lighting. The owners have an extensive art collection and beautiful works were carefully selected and purchased to complement the fresh new look of the living room.
